Oncology, is a branch of medicine that deals with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer and tumors. Out of which, breast cancer has gained particular relevance in recent years due to the high incidence in both developed and less developed regions.

Breast cancer is the one that develops from breast tissue. The common risk factors for developing breast cancer include being female, lack of physical exercise, obesity, hormone replacement therapies, conceiving very late or having no child, ionizing radiation, older age as well as a prior history of breast cancer, within the family.

Currently, in exRNA Therapeutics Limited we are developing inhibitors of certain inflammatory cytokines and chemokines associated with breast cancer. Chemokines not only are associated with the establishment of protumoral microenvironment organ-directed metastasis but also mediate disease progression, favoring the growth and proliferation of tumor cells.

Our drug has efficacy in upregulation and downregulation of inflammatory cytokines and chemokines like CCL2 (MCP-1), CXCL8, CCL20, CXCL14, CXCR4, CXCR1 which is associated with breast cancer.

Our drug is an exosome coated RNA sequence and have shown RNAi molecule to have anti-cancerous properties, these studies conclude that RNAi molecule could kill cancerous cells and prevent from growing in your body.

Basically, it acts as a cytokines inhibitor and is associated with breast cancer.
